First Post - Why Did You Take Co-op




Why did you take the co-op?
I took co-op because it will introduce new information and interesting subjects to me. It seems to be a class that I will enjoy and excel in. I hope this year's co-op program is a success.
 
What are your plans for next year?
I hope to enter the sports science program at Douglas College after I finish my heavy duty mechanic foundation program at VCC. It is important to me to learn about the human body and all the different aspects that consist of human performance because it is something I am passionate about.

 What activities do you like to do outside of school?
Activities I like to do on a daily basis are power lifting and playing soccer. Power lifting is something I was introduced to earlier this summer by FitNation; a group of personal trainers who help athletes excel in their sport. Most of our powerlifting consisted of exercises such as deadlifts, power cleans, bench press, press, and squats. Soccer is something I have been playing since my youth days and it is something I will continue to play until I am well past my prime.

 Have you done any fitness activities over the summer?
I have done only two fitness activities over the summer but I did them often. Like previously explained, soccer and power lifting are the two activities I like and often do, usually every second day I do one or the other.
 
 What are your fitness goals for the semester?
My only fitness goal is to gain flexibility. It is the one area I feel as though I am very poor in. I hope to gain flexibility so I can be less injury prone and protect my hamstring from another tear as well.

What is important to you & helps to define who you are?
I think this YouTube video sums me up. I am a person who cares more about improving themseleves as an individual every day, going beyond from what is asked, a person who is willing to do anything to succeed and a person who will never give up.
